I was laying in bed thinking about strange and irrational fears the other day and so decided to make a post about it.
I won’t call this a fear so to speak but it makes me feel uncomfortable. Anytime I’m laying in bed and I have a hand or foot hanging off the edges of the bed I always feel like something’s gonna come reach up and grab it. A hangover from when I was a little kid and thought there were demons under my bed.
I know it’s silly but even to this day I won’t let my feet or hands hang over the edge of the bed at night.
So now I am curious, what is a strange/irrational fear of yours?
I’m gonna try to come up with a new layout soon. I’m finally settled on what I wanna use for it I just gotta come up with a nice color scheme.

I’m scared of bats. Only in my house, though. But if I think I hear one, I sleep with the light on.
I also used to sleep with my entire body (except head) firmly tucked under my blanket because I thought if I did that, aliens couldn’t get me.

I used to believe that if I got out of my bed, monsters etc. could get me. The first nightmare I remember started when I accidentally rolled out of my bed, and then this invisible force started dragging me towards the door through an apparently empty house since nobody heard my screams. It was the most disturbing one I’ve had, the later ones were all cartoony with stick figure ghosts and triangle-headed phase wolves.
My childhood nightmares were mostly werwolves and giant snakes. Current irrational fears… falling would probably be the top one. I don’t have an issue with heights as such, at least when there’s a railing, but any kind of an unstable edge even if it’s over the shallow end of a swimming pool is an issue.
