People are really bloody obnoxious. Seriously. It’s a reason I stop posting updates about my computer problems or whatever else that might delay my commissions because rather than trying to help me half the time they just rub it in my face that their computers are better. Or assume I’m stupid and know nothing about my system. They also like to stop and make sure I know how MAC is so much SUPERIOR to PC when that’s utter bull crap. BOTH computers have their own issues and YES this goes for you TOO LINUX people. Your computers are not God and they will eventually have issues just like all computers eventually do.
Stop trying to be better than everyone else and brag about your “amazing” machines because eventually you’re gonna be kicked off that ladder of yours. No OS or computer is better than the other in my opinion. I have used all three of those operating systems and they all have their positives AND their negatives. I have a preference for PCs because I can customize the hardware how I would like and I don’t have to take it to a specific store to get replacement pieces. Same goes for the OS if I really felt like using Linux I could, it just won’t run the programs I want unless I use emulators. That is a pain. Mac is more specific, it usually runs pretty stable but again runs less programs than windows and the OS once it’s outdated refuses to load a lotta the newer programs that ARE made for mac and forces you to buy a new OS. I find that ridiculous. Yes they are pretty stable and can last a long time but I just find that it’s not as flexible as a PC and WAY overpriced, a huge draw back. I got a custom PC that is five times more powerful than my husbands Mac for 30% less than what he paid for his computer and my PC is still working fine They aren’t that much different in age either. Maybe by a few months. That’s pretty ridiculous.
I could go on and on about this but I’ll leave it at that. Also make note I do realize newer macs you can put windows on them and etc but that’s a huge hassle just to play games and such I would rather just double boot my pc with Linux and Windows. Linux is light and fast to install and windows for the games and my art programs. In fact my laptop has that a small linux quick boot for just internet applications. It’s pretty cool. Anyways, enough of that. I’ll hopefully get my PC issue figured out; I’m building up the mobo and such my friend sent me and the bios were woop out the window so I’m getting a new one to pop in there and hope it’ll behave. AND I will eventually get the grinding fan of doom in my laptop fixed but maybe after I get paid. >_>
Oh yea and I saw two new movies so I’ll be typing out a review for those in the next couple days. How to Train Your Dragon and From Paris With Love. 
What is an annoying thing people get all high and mighty about towards you? Video game consoles, cars, clothes…etc Post em!

Good on you Kris for speaking your mind. So many people at my school do that same thing, often fighting over things such as their computers and how PRO they are. It’s like, we don’t care if it’s got a 6GB ram or whatever. It’s a computer. If it gets the job done.. theres no need to brag!
Now the thing that bugs me the most with some people is how they will go on and on about how great their PHONE is.
Seriously, phones were designed to text and call. That’s it. They don’t need a flashlight, a touch screen, a 10 megapixel camera… It bugs me
Nicely said. I myself prefer Macs… I have about three of them at home, for different purposes. But I honestly wouldn’t mind using a newer PC or something as long as it wasn’t painfully slow.
One thing that bothers me is… Ooh, definitely that whole “Americans are stupid and I’m so much better because I live in [somewhere else].” I MEAN GAH. America’s not the only country with fat idiots, McDonald’s, a crappy government… Or whatever
KD, I need to say I completely agree with you, although it isn’t just Americans that get it. I disagree with any form of nationalism, seriously annoy me. It’s ‘tarded lawl. xD
I regularly use both systems, because of college. I also jump between different gaming platforms a lot.
Needless to say, I do not care what I am using, as long as it gets what I want done… done. I prefer using PCs to Macs, I am more familiar with PCs.
I don’t like social scenes either, I do not feel I really fit into any social scenes… I just don’t care. xD
But at college a while ago I was doing some investigatory work through the form a poll, I was running around asking people to fill it out. I asked a couple of *cough* emo kids *cough* and they just flat out ignored me. It happens a lot with the whole social scene business. Making friends without being a muppet isn’t that hard is it?
You know what? I just hate an kind of elitist views. lol, I’ll leave it at that ‘cus I will be here typing forever.

I totally hear you when it comes to the computers. I use PC’s simply because of their flexibility. I did most most of my CAD training on AppleMacs. Linux I haven’t used in a while.
Annoying…… hm, for me it would be, being pre-judged. A lot of assumptions are made about me and 95% are not true and sadly the trend has followed onto the book I got published. It is pre-judged by everyone and never given a chance and it is seriously making me pull my hair out. I’ve had good reviews, ‘pleasantly surprised’ ‘well written’ ARGH!!!!! it just annoys me terribly. Thank you for letting me get the chance to get that off my chest

It’s always annoying when you have trouble with your computer and then people just go GET A MAC or GET LINUX, and you know what… THAT DOESN’T SOLVE MY PROBLEM YOU MORON. Nothing is more annoying than seeing someone brag and preach how their OS is superior, when it’s just bullshit (like you said) and I’ve had that happen a couple of times, especially with Mac users.
Yeaaaa…pretty lame. Mac’s are not all horrible…but my personal preference is that make everything more retarded than it has to be to work right. That’s just me. And all computers have retarded at times….I hope a new motherboard does the trick for ya though. And stuff.
And people like to get high and mighty over me with just about everything…that everything they have is better than what I have…like how my car is almost as old as me so it sucks and can’t do anything…or my camera since it’s one of the earliest digital cameras….tablets…ipods….cellphones….their instruments or better…or knowledge about stuff. It’s kinda novel and I usually don’t care XDDD But it does get old when they think just because I have older shit and not the newest up to date things or internet on everything it’s lame XD

There was a time when Mac/Apple were awesome mashines. This time is over. Apple more and more became a profit company with nothing else in mind than money.
About your issues. I guess this is just no luck.
Sometimes you’ll get perfect parts and your system runs and runs and runs. And then you can boot the computer one day and all boot sectors on the HDD’s are suddenly vannished. It’s really just luck. Special because 5% of all parts you buy are normaly malfunctioning.

Seriously, people just need to enjoy and appreciate with what they have. It’s irritating when you hear those kinds of remarks because as you mentioned it makes you feel that you’ve made a bad choice or that you have no clue about comps at all. Just ignore them. You’re like me an advanced user and tech in the computer field.
I’m actually not sure I care about Mac vs. PC one way or another… I’ve got friends with Macs, and they look pretty and shiny and whatnot and their users are happy with them, but my PC’s been doing fine by me for the most part and I don’t plan to dump her.

Oh I know what you mean. My friends have stupid arguments over the Mac vs. PC thing. I’ve used both and honestly, I can say the same thing about them. I love using both, though. Then they all have the arguments about PS2/PS3 and XBox.
It just gets really ridiculous sometimes. I don’t get what’s with people always trying to get people to think that their opinion of something is the right one!
