Saw this over a week ago but… I been busy and uninspired to write a review till now. XD Since this movie involves Statham I knew one thing is guaranteed, lots of over the top action. Actually, though there is a LOT of action, but I didn’t find it quite as over the top like his previous movie series, ‘Crank’ and ‘The Transporter’.
The cast they chose did a great job with the roles, solid acting. The storyline was pretty interesting too. I can’t really think of any part that I got bored with the movie. For once it wasn’t a film focused on some kind of American government conspiracy, which wasn’t quite what I had expected, but that’s good. It was nice for a change. It focuses on ex-members of the SAS, which is British special forces, and a scandal involving a Sheikh and oil. I don’t want to really say much more about it so as to avoid spoilers. I’ll just add that Statham is a hired killer and the Sheikh ‘hires’ him, so to speak.
Would I recommend this one for theater? Yea if you like Statham. I don’t regret seeing it there, but I will say there’s nothing real amazing with effects and such that would be super enhanced by a larger screen, so you won’t miss out much if it’s a rental.
