ring

This just blows my mind. A school in Rhode Island has deemed wedding rings as offensive. A 17-year-old was commissioned to paint a mural on the wall of this school. The mural depicted a boy growing to manhood and at the end of it, it showed him married with a family. The school said it’s offensive because it doesn’t accurately depict how all the students outcome in life will be. AND? This is just crazy. Check out this article.

What is this country coming to?! Something so innocent like wedding rings would be deemed offensive to the general public by a school board? The teen was given a weekend to think about weather she would use her original design or change it and has decided to keep it. GOOD FOR HER.
Here’s a good video to check out too.

Galloping through the night,
Shadows blocking out moonlight,
Hooves covered with mud,
Spattered with flecks of dried blood,
A screech that chills,
All noise it stills,
On their fell beasts they perch,
For The One they search,
Enslaved by their greed,
They seek the Ring they need,
They wear crowns on their head,
But they are neither living nor dead,
The Nine are cursed,
In their journey they’re immersed,
Deceived by a liar,
They are consumed by a desire,
Through the land they ever run,
Searching for the One.
Poem written by Kris and inspired by J.R.R. Tolkien’s “Lord of the Rings”.
